Our instructor program uses various methodologies to teach instructors how to facilitate theory and practical lessons, along with the necessary skill sets to evaluate student performance with proper coaching and feedback, and to prepare students for their cosmetology, barbering, or esthetician state board examination.
Learn real-world haircutting, coloring, styling, makeup, skin care, and nails. You’ll explore the fundamentals and theory in the classroom, then practice skills like braiding, extensions, and other popular techniques in a salon environment, using professional products, tools, and skills.
Students in our master barber programs learn classic short haircuts as well as scissor and clipper-over-comb techniques, fades, tapers, and precision haircutting.
They also learn short-hair color placements, short-hair styling techniques, customized beard grooming, and shaves.
The Cosmetology program is a comprehensive course consisting of a minimum of 1500 clock hours of training as required by the State of Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.
Our program prepares students for licensure as professional cosmetologists through industry-aligned instruction, hands-on clinic experience, and foundational business training. Instruction includes hair, skin, nail, makeup, sanitation, safety, client communication, and salon operations in a modern salon environment.
The instructor training course is a 300-hour course designed to prepare licensed beauty professionals for the State Board licensing exam. The course consists of 3 phases, preparing the student for an entry level instructor position.
